So, I found the shoes to go to that cute skirt I got as a gift! I wanted something casual and spring-like. I found these.
I'm in love with shopping online. They should be here within the next few days and I'm really excited to see them and how they'll look with the skirt. :)
In addition to the shoes, I've been reading Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Lightning Thief. I'm a stickler for reading books (if any) before watching movies because I find I hate movies once I've read the book when I enjoyed them before. I didn't realize that Percy Jackson was a whole series. Many people compare it to Harry Potter. I think I enjoyed this first book more than I did Harry Potter.
So for $23 dollars on amazon, I've ordered books 1-5 including a pre-order on book 5 in softcover. We're planning on going to see the movie today in theatres. Although, since I've read the book, the teaser clips I've watched online are already far from the book. :/
Here's to hoping.

Things I've Learned Today
I've learned that my two year old is scared of ladybugs. He's okay with them until you try to put his hand near them. Lol.
I've learned that my two year old can sit on the big boy's swing and hold on tight and be pushed like a big boy. :)
I've learned that we won't be getting hit with a higher insurance rate due to the driver backing into us. The insurance determined we were 0% at fault and the other driver was 100% at fault. I've also learned that we still have to fill out a mile long of paperwork to file at DMV of the accident. Yipee. >.< onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiktZBOeELoRCjMNcG3hYBcsMETltYL1hTlSBwPWxcgJWi7g5tvnsK-Jp1KmcTXAE-OJa1O4VpBe6v2hyphenhyphenpYODMVwtPzx9aLcSGrucw8iOMjk_yUi25gldIpPeK1Krzyf00VWf3dQAInP7J5/s1600-h/Meep+007.JPG">
I won't always have that completely naive, innocent, pure trust from him. I won't ever have that from anyone else. Not in that way, at least.

Happy
New clothes always make me happy! Not as happy as crafts but close to.
My sweet sister surprised me with two spaghetti tanks from Old Navy, one in a bright blue and one in an equally bright pink. Love color! The picture I found on Old Navy's websites aren't exactly identical to my products, but close enough. This shirt looks nearly right, only it's in a more turquoise blue and a bright darker pink.
Today, I came home to see she'd gotten me a white spring skirt with lace hemming. I've always been in love with springy skirts and I've always wanted a white one. The skirt pictured is almost exactly the same, minus the beautiful lace on the bottom of the skirt. I love it. I'm looking for cute springy shoes to match it now.
I'm thinking a very natural looking wedge would be amazing and neutral to go well with the light and carefree ambiance of the spring skirt but also match any tops I might want to add to it for color. I know, I'm relentless. At least I "shop" relatively cheap. ;)
Other than this, I've been swamped with homework and juggling real life.
We did get a chance to see the movie, 2012 and it was disappointing to say the least. The first chapters of the book that I had read were so exciting and promising. I hope that it doesn't fail me!
I finished the maybe-not-so-newest in the Sookie Stackhouse vampire novels. I'm not certifiably obsessed with vampires because of the Twilight Tween fad. I was enjoying Karen Chance's Cassandra Palmer (and now Dorina Bassharb) series before I even heard about the vampire craze caused by Twilight. My mother actually introduced me to the Sookie Stackhouse series and while I don't much care for the main character, the books have enough fun supporting characters to keep me sucked in. I giggle throughout them which is great.
All of that said, I'll return now to admiring new crafting blogs, drooling over inspiring home pictures (maybe I'll make a post in the near future) and possibly, just maybe, starting up another nearly finished craft of mine. :)

Getting Things Done
My little sister and best friend is on deployment (Go Navy!) to Spain. She missed Christmas and the crazy festivities and spent hers alone in Spain. Since she's a little homesick, I finally got around to posting up videos from our holidays on youtube for her. :)
